Common Roofing Questions
1
How do I know if I actually need a new roof?
Not every roofing issue requires a full replacement. In many cases, repairs or restoration can safely extend the life of a roof and provide years of additional performance.
During your free inspection, we’ll evaluate the condition of your roof and explain whether maintenance, repair, restoration, or replacement is the best long-term solution. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision, not sell you a roof you don’t need.
We understand that many homeowners worry about being pressured into expensive roofing projects. That’s why we take a repair-first approach whenever possible and clearly explain the condition of your roof, what we found, and why we’re making a recommendation.
Our reputation has been built on long-term relationships, not one-time transactions.
How can I trust that I’m getting an honest recommendation?
2
What happens if my roof has storm or hail damage?
3
If your roof has been affected by hail, wind, or severe weather, we’ll inspect the roof, document any damage, and explain your options clearly. If appropriate, we can also provide photos, documentation, and estimates that may help support an insurance claim.
Will insurance pay for my roof repair or replacement?
4
Insurance may help cover repairs or replacement when damage is caused by a covered event such as hail, wind, or a fallen tree. Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the damage.
We’ll help you understand the condition of your roof and provide the documentation needed to support the claims process when appropriate.
What if I don’t know what’s wrong with my roof?
5
That’s completely normal. Most homeowners don’t spend time on their roof and often don’t know there’s a problem until a leak appears.
Our free inspection is designed to help you understand the condition of your roof, identify any concerns, and determine whether action is needed.
What happens after the inspection?
6
We’ll explain what we found, answer your questions, and provide clear recommendations. If work is needed, we’ll discuss your options, timeline, and pricing. If no work is needed, we’ll tell you that too.
What if a problem develops after the project is complete?
7
We believe our responsibility doesn’t end when the project is finished. Every roof replacement includes enrollment in our Roof Maintenance Program and a complimentary maintenance visit approximately 12 months after completion.
Our goal is to help homeowners protect their investment long after installation.
Do you require payment before work begins?
8
No. BMC Roofing does not require payment before work begins. Homeowners pay when the project is complete, giving you confidence that the work has been performed as promised.
How often should my roof be inspected?
9
We generally recommend having your roof professionally inspected at least once per year and after major wind or hail storms. Regular inspections can help identify small issues before they become costly repairs and give homeowners greater confidence in the long-term condition of their roof.
What types of roofing systems do you work on?
10
BMC Roofing works on a variety of roofing systems, including:
Flat roofs
Shingle roofs
Tile roofs
Metal roofs
Foam roofing systems
TPO roofing
Modified bitumen roofing
Our team can help determine the best solution based on your roof’s condition, goals, and budget.
Do you work with realtors and home buyers or sellers?
